Antique Thai Southeast Asia Fine Silver Ornate Hairpin Stick Ornament on Stand
DESCRIPTION:
This is a truly lovely piece! Crafted of fine silver, this tapering hair ornament, also called a hair pin or hair stick, is designed to accent an updo, with a Thai-looking dragon at the end and multiple stamped oblong beads in a cluster, allowing the piece to create bell-like sounds as it moves. Ornament is displayed on a custom black composite stand with felt lining on the underside.
CONDITION:
Hair ornament is offered in beautiful vintage condition, with some patina and wear but no major damage noted. A prior owner gave this a light polish; we have left it alone to let you decide how much you want to shine it up. Stand may have minimal wear to edges but no major damage. Please review all photos.
DIMENSIONS/pin:
appx. 6-3/4" in length (including end cluster), appx, 2-1/2" in height (from top of dragon to bottom of cluster).
Dimensions/displayed:
5" in height (from table to top of dragon), base of stand without holders measures 4" in length, appx. 2" in depth, 1" in height
