Millersburg Holly (Holly Sprig, Holly Whirl) ~ marigold card tray/bonbon
54th Anniversary: The Great House of Isaac Benesch & Sons
Millersburg made this promotional item in about 1910 for Isaac Benesch & Sons, which was the largest home furnishings department store in business at that time. This pattern was called Holly Whirl or Holly Sprig; however, these are so similar that many collectors now just refer to the pattern as Holly. This piece has a couple of small chips along the edge (see last photos).
Please bear in mind that carnival glass is old and may have been well-used in its time. There may also be imperfections that occurred during manufacturing, such as air bubbles, straw marks, inclusions, or rough seams. I try to identify any damage or manufacturing imperfections and describe and photograph them as well as possible because I want to be sure that you know exactly what to expect.
