GU-50 PENTODE TUBE AM BDCST/SHORTWAVE REGEN RADIO (520 KHZ TO 15.00 MHZ)

This regenerative receiver uses the Russian GU-50 pentode RF tube. It does a great job, with continuous coverage from just below the am broadcast band up to approximated 15 mhz shortwave.
For more audio gain I have added a single stage transistor amp. High impedance piezo headphones and a power supply wiring harness are included in this listing.
A plug-in coil and several micro-inductors are included for the frequency coverage indicated. This radio works equally well with either wound coils or micro-inductors. Simply plug in the different inductors to change the frequency range.
You will need two well filtered dc power sources. One at 12 to 14 volts for the filament and a second source of about 30 to 35 volts dc for the receiver/transistor amp circuit.
A 50 to 100 ft. antenna is recommended, along with a good earth ground connection (ground rod, cold water pipe, etc).
The controls are main tuning, fine tuning, antenna coupling and regenerative action. I will include a hand sketched circuit drawing and location of the different controls and connections on the front and back panels. You have BNC antenna, 1/4" phone jack and power socket connections on the rear panel of this radio.
