Russian M36 SSh helmet shell. The three-hole rivet version. This is an original helmet shell used in the Russian-Finnish war of 1939. To my understanding these helmets were captured by the Finns during that war, repainted later to be used as civil defense helmets. This example is in perfect condition with the exception of a rust spot on the inside top of helmet. Only minor storage wear. Has Cyrillic letters with the numbers “3 13 43” stamped into the rear of the shell. This example has a rather sloppy paint job with some runs. However, you will not find a better shell in this condition. This is not one of those Chinese-made rip-offs. This solid shell is in virtually mint condition.
