Vintage American Character Tressy Doll Hair Dryer by Hasbro 1960s Rare Pink Case

Here is a 1960s Tressy hair dryer made under licensed by Hasbro for the American Character Tressy doll. Most Tressy hair dryers come in white cases, but this one has a rare pink case. There are two hair brushes and a comb inside, but only the blue plastic brush is original. The hard plastic baby brush is marked “Dupont, Made in USA.” It is probably from the same era as the hair dryer, and perhaps it was the original owner’s baby brush. The rat’s tail comb looks like one of Tressy’s but we haven’t been able to definitely identify it.
The two bonnets that original came with this set are missing. The label on the front of the case has two deep creases, which seems to be common with these hair driers. The outside of the case needs cleaning. The hair dryer doesn’t work—one wire is loose so it might be an easy fix of reconnecting it, but even as is it would be a nice piece to display with your Tressy collection.
