    Description

    An extremely rare cap of a general of tank forces or artillery of the Red Army, probably sewn for the 1945 Victory Parade.
    The cap is made of high quality woolen fabric.
    The crown is made of merino castor color

    A metal enamel cockade is installed on the band.
    The peg is made of black velvet and embroidered with gold embroidery.
    The sewing pattern consists of two laurel branches diverging from the center.
    Large stems and leaves of laurel branches are embroidered with gilded thread, and small leaves are formed of gilded sequins sewn with thread with gilded thread.
    Along the upper edge, the band has a red cloth edging, similar to the red cloth edging on the crown of the cap.
    Fiber visor, black, double-sided varnished.
    Above the visor there is a twisted gilded filigree cord in two rows, attached at the ends by two small metal buttons.
    Each button depicts the coat of arms of the USSR with eleven ribbons of the Soviet republics.
    The lining of the cap is silk without stamps and inscriptions, the underneath ribbon is made of soft brown leather.
    The original gold embroidery and filigree cord are well preserved, with only minor damage.

    Introduced by the decision of the Main Quartermaster Directorate of the Red Army No. 1412 in April 1945. Canceled for generals and marshals of aviation and tank forces by order of the Minister of the Armed Forces of the USSR dated February 24, 1949, for all others by order of the Minister of Defense of the USSR No. 94 dated June 10, 1954.
